PRECISION FOAM COLOUR
PRECISION FOAM COLOUR
Non-drip formula spreads easily for deep saturation and flawless coverage.
Dyeing hair at home in 4 simple steps
Step 1: Get enough dye for your hair length - if you’ve got extra-long or thick hair, use more than one box.
Step 2: For an even application, split your hair into sections. Start applying the dye to the bottom sections first and work up.
Our top tip: use as much foam as you can - the more you massage, the more foam you will create and the better your coverage will be.
Step 3: Let your colour develop for 20 minutes (add extra 10 minutes to cover greys). You can just relax while you wait for your new colour to develop, thanks to our non-drip formula.
Step 4: After rinsing, use the After-Colour Conditioner to seal your new colour.

POPULAR QUESTIONS
POPULAR QUESTIONS
Is it better for my hair to be clean or dirty when I apply Precision Foam Colour 7G Sheer Blonde® Dark Golden Blonde?
As mentioned in the user guide, it is best to apply the product to hair that does not have a strong build-up of styling product. If you have styling products on your hair, please wash your hair one day prior to colouring with this golden blonde hair colour.
How should I select my John Frieda® Precision Foam Colour?
Consider the following when choosing your ideal Precision Foam Colour. First, identify your current hair colour. Your current hair colour will influence your colour result. A colour-level number has been assigned to each of our shades. Within the John Frieda® shade range, a level 2 represents our black shade; a level 10 represents our lightest blonde shade. When choosing your ideal colour, it is important that you stay within two shade levels above or below your current hair colour to ensure natural-looking results. For example, if you are a level 6, light brown colour, select your colour within levels 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8.
Second, ask yourself three simple questions:
• What is your desired shade? Brunette, blonde, or red?
• What is your desired intensity of colour? Do you want to be a Dark, medium, or light brunette?
• What is your desired tone?
Do you like to see golden tones in your hair or do you prefer neutral tones? If you like to see golden tones in your hair, select a shade with the word “golden” in its description, or a “G” for “Golden” in the alphanumeric code (for example, shade 8G). If you prefer a neutral tone, choose an “N” (for example, shade 4N). If you want to be a redhead, choose an “R” shade like 6R, 5R, or 4R.
Choose colours with a “G” or “BG” if your complexion is more honey or almond, you tan easily, or your eyes are brown or hazel. Choose shades with an “N,” natural, if your complexion is pale, rosy, or has an even ebony colour or your eyes are blue or green.
These are basic guidelines to achieve salon-quality colour. There is a shade for nearly everyone.
Should I choose a warmer or cooler tone of John Frieda® Precision Foam Colour?
Though this is really a matter of personal preference, here is some advice to help you decide.
Choose a warmer tone if:
• You have olive or golden skin tone
• Your wardrobe consists mostly of reds, oranges, browns
• You often accessorise with gold jewelry
Warmer shades will enhance red or golden tones in your hair.
Choose a cooler tone if:
• You have a rosy, pinkish skin tone
• You often wear pink, purples, blues, greens
• You mostly accessorise with silver jewelry
Cooler shades will minimise red/orange tones in your hair.
Choose a natural tone if:
• You have an ivory or peach-like skin tone
• Your wardrobe consists of a variety of colours
• You accessorise with both gold and silver jewelry
Natural or neutral shades help to enhance your natural undertones.
