Across Britain, over 250,000 households are experiencing the worst forms of homelessness, including sleeping on the streets or being stuck in unsuitable temporary accommodation.
This year, the number of households in temporary accommodation in England reached record levels.
We all need a safe, decent home. This is why, for a second year, we’ve joined forces with national homelessness charity Crisis to extend our See Me, See My Potential partnership.
We’ve released two limited edition products to boost our fundraising efforts. From October 2023, for every Limited Edition John Frieda Volume Lift Shampoo or Volume Lift Conditioner purchased at Boots, either online or instore, we’ll donate 50p directly to Crisis with a minimum donation of £25,000 guaranteed.
This £25,000 could go towards initial advice and guidance for 80 people experiencing homelessness, working with them to take the initial steps in leaving homelessness behind.
We’ll also be volunteering alongside the Crisis team to help support Crisis at Christmas, Crisis’ annual programme where they open its doors to Skylight members who are experiencing homelessness, offering much needed warmth, healthcare, food and company.
As well as providing complementary haircuts to people using Crisis’ services, we’re working together to ensure that people experiencing homelessness have access to support to help them rebuild their lives and help unlock their potential.
